Utah sees natural disasters like lightning, fire, flood and earthquake and want's to remind all of our citizens to be prepared! As our political sponsor, Lt. Governor Gary Herbert and his son Brad have taken to the airwaves to spread the message. You can catch their exciting spot here on BeReadyUtah.gov or by watching FOX13.

Remember, always have a 72-hour Emergency Supply Kit ready for each member of your household and have it in a place that is easy to grab in case of an emergency.

Thank you for your interest in the Be Ready Utah campaign. I hope you take advantage of the useful tools this site has to offer.

This site is designed to be a toolbox to ready you and your family for unforeseen events such as earthquakes, fires, floods, and even personal financial disasters. Be Ready Utah provides valuable information for individuals and families, public safety professionals, business and civic leaders, school administrators and volunteer managers.

I believe that preparedness leads to prosperity. Every community has the opportunity to provide resources to prepare its citizens. Be Ready Utah can help.

Governor Jon Huntsman, Jr. Declares September 4-8th Be Ready Utah Weekend

Declaration

August 28th, Governor Huntsman declared September 4-8th "Be Ready Utah Weekend". Come help celebrate the message of preparedness by visiting our booth at the Utah State Fair.

Be Ready Utah has many games, prizes and educational opportunities starting at 10am and lasting until 8pm.

Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts

We have requirements to work toward 8 different Merit Badges! Come see a Be Ready Utah staff member to find out how to get started!
